Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) is a Nigerian national non-governmental, registered in Nigeria and working in different States of the country. From its mission statement, LHI’s aim is to work to maximise all opportunities to empower marginalised people. LHI is implementing a project funded by USAID/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, titled “Integrated Multisectoral Lifesaving Assistance for Conflict-Affected Households (HHs) in Yobe”. The project is a consortium, comprised of three (3) implementing partners, including, Life Helper Initiative (LHI), CARE International and Save the Children International (SCI) as the leading partner.

Position: Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Manager
Location: Yobe State. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that CVA program technical implementation is responsive to communities, authorities, and partners and consistent with Life Helpers (LH) relevant program guidelines, principles, values, quality standards and strategic plan.
- Conduct technical monitoring visits to the field to ensure that all targeted program beneficiaries are rightly benefiting from the CVA interventions.
- With support from program technical support, (SCI CVA TA), supervises the CVA Officer to conduct monthly price monitoring for all services/ products relevant to multi-sectoral program and contribute to the joint market monitoring of the CWG.
- With support from program technical support, (SCI CVA TA), conduct market assessments for program development adaptation and review.
- Represent LH in cash working group (CWG) and project field visits, coordination meetings and technical meetings as required by (Name of supervisor)
- Supports the (Name of supervisor) in developing relationships and partnerships and stakeholders.
- Develop project stakeholders’ communication strategies.
- With support from technical support team, operationalize tools and guidance notes on CVA and CVA modalities, market assessment, livelihoods recovery, agricultural inputs, resilience programming and related areas.
- Review all procurement requests for CVA activities before submission to the logistics department.
- Support in follow-up on logistics requirements in coordination with the procurement team.
- Ensure that all program-related data and information on CVA activities area of the program are accurate, updated, organized and accessible to the country program, HQ and other key stakeholders and that lessons learnt and best practices are documented.
Qualification/Requirement
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration and Management, etc OR, a Degree in any other field but with a Master’s Degree in Project Management, Food Security & Livelihoods related field of study.
- Cash learning Partnership Training CaLP) Preferred e.g. Core CVA Skill for Program Staff. Etc and other recognized CVA Certification.
- Strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- At least 3 years of professional experience with at least 1 year of project management experience.
- The ability to speak the local Language is an added advantage.
