The Akin Fadeyi Foundation (AFF) is a not-for-profit organization that works to combat corruption, tackle social injustice, and promote transparency and accountability within Nigeria’s public and private institutions. AFF has its headquarters in Abuja and is currently recruiting and inviting applications for the position listed below:
Job Title: Program Coordinator (Full-Time)
Location: Abuja, Nigeria

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic program coordinator to drive AFF’s work on anti-corruption, good governance, accountability, gender equality, sexual and gender-based violence, and other areas of social justice. As Program Coordinator, you will work side-by-side with the Program Officers to plan and implement the organization’s various projects. Ultimately, your goal will be to help provide programmatic direction and support to the team. The Program Coordinator should be able to foresee any problems related to the completion of a project and act in a timely manner to mitigate any issues. The ideal candidate must have experience planning and managing projects with significant work experience in a closely related role within the development sector.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities.
  • Monitor implementation of program policies and practices.
  • Develop concept notes, funding proposals, budget, work plans, and other strategic documents.
  • Work to keep programs on schedule within stated budgets.
  • Support program growth and development as necessary.
  • Administer or oversee fundraising operations for programs as well as community outreach.
  • Oversee the program budget, including tracking billing, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Coordinate interactions/relationships between staff, donors, partners, and all other program stakeholders.
  • Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events.
  • Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations, and proposals.
  • Facilitate positive relations between the program team, the public, the media, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance reviews and evaluate program activities.
  • Support the communications team with content development and dissemination (media relations, social media).
  • Anticipate and solve any problems related to the program.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in related fields such as development, human rights law, international relations, and sociology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
