About TRAHI and the Osumare Leadership Fellowship
TRAHI seeks to empower LGBTQI+ leaders, activists, and frontline defenders through transformative
education and advocacy programs. The Osumare Leadership Fellowship Program aims to foster
leadership, advocacy, and community engagement across Nigeria’s LGBTQI+ movement.
To achieve this, we are engaging qualified consultants who will not only design and develop online
learning modules and curricula but also facilitate the training of fellows using the curriculum they create.
This opportunity offers consultants the chance to contribute directly to leadership development while
working closely with emerging activists and defenders across Nigeria.
Scope of Work
- Design and Develop Comprehensive Modules
- Create Structured Modules: Develop interactive and practical modules on topics such as:
- Leadership & Public Engagement
- Stakeholder Advocacy & Influence
- Community Mobilization Techniques
- Relationship Management & Network Building
- Wellness and Resilience Practices for Activists
- Ensure Practical Learning: Integrate real-world scenarios, case studies, and problem-solving activities
to ensure relevance and applicability. - Interactive Design: Incorporate quizzes, multimedia (videos, PDFs, podcasts), and group activities for an
engaging virtual learning experience.
- Facilitate the Training of Fellows
- Deliver Training Sessions: Conduct interactive virtual workshops and mentoring sessions using the
curriculum. - Mentor Fellows: Provide personalized guidance and feedback to fellows, ensuring they apply the
concepts effectively in their advocacy work. - Monitor Progress: Track the performance of fellows throughout the program and ensure their active
participation and engagement.
- Develop User-Friendly Learning Tools
- Multi-Platform Adaptability: Design content accessible across web and mobile platforms.
- Create Peer-Learning Opportunities: Integrate forums, group activities, and networking opportunities
to foster collaboration among fellows.
- Develop Assessment and Feedback Tools
- Create tools to evaluate learning outcomes and participant growth.
- Establish channels for fellows to provide feedback on their learning experience.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with criteria for awarding certificates upon completion.
- Collaborate with TRAHI and Partners:
- Engage with the TRAHI team to align curriculum content with program goals.
- Incorporate feedback from TRAHI and fellows during pilot sessions to refine the modules.
Deliverables
- Curriculum Plan: Outline of modules with objectives, content, and learning outcomes.
- Interactive Learning Modules: Ready-to-use modules integrated with multimedia tools.
- Training Sessions: Facilitation of virtual sessions, including mentorship and group discussions.
- Assessment and Feedback Tools: Pre- and post-assessment forms and feedback mechanisms.
- Final Report: A comprehensive report on curriculum development, training outcomes, and
recommendations.
Timeline and Key Milestones
The consultancy period will run for at least 6 months starting from November.
Consultant Qualifications
We are seeking consultants with the following skills and experience:
- At least 5 years in curriculum development, instructional design, and facilitation.
- Experience working with LGBTQI+ communities and familiarity with their unique challenges.
- Ability to facilitate virtual workshops and mentor participants remotely.
- Capacity to reflect Nigeria’s diverse LGBTQI+ realities in the curriculum.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively.
