About us:

Anchor for Life Support and Resilience (ALSAR) is a national non-profit and non-political organization dedicated to promoting the Environmental, Educational and Livelihood Programs in Rural communities around Nigeria. The organization first registered in the year 2022, was born out of the desire to empower women and youths in rural communities through; skill acquisition, promotion of Basic Education to enhance knowledge, promotion of hygiene at schools and family levels in rural communities, to foster food sustainability, income generation and climate change by promoting Agro and Agro Allied activities. In order to promote sustainable coexistence in communities, the Organization is also mandated to participate in post conflict peace keeping through advocacy, inclusive engagements, negotiations and dialogue.


Job Description:

A Business Development Strategist who will be under the supervision of the Chairman, board of
Trustees will oversee proposal development, including ensuring organizational standards are maintained.


Responsibilities

  1. Identifying potential partnerships/Sponsors/Donors and establishing a cordial relationship between them and the organization.
  2. To oversee a portfolio of grants, ensuring the NGO remains compliant and that projects are implemented in-line with donor requirements.
  3. Develop plans to create awareness, receive funds and attention from outside organizations.
  4. Create plans on how to engage sponsors and donor agencies to our organizations mission.
  5. Facilitate at an internal level, the employee learning process and engage them to the organizations cause.
  6. Collaborating with team members to define objectives.
  7. Develop Plans to Increase awareness through existing channels such as awareness events, online campaigns social media actions etc.
  8. Create proposals for new projects including feasibility studies, financial projections, and marketing plans.
  9. Preparing budgets, identifying funding sources, and monitoring costs in order to meet project goals.
  10. Use word processing systems to create presentations, prepare work plans, and organize proposal content.
  11. Create computer graphics and prioritize assignments.
  12. Responsible for organization image making by participating in government agencies forums and INGO/Donors cluster meetings.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics or any other related field
  2. At least 3 years’ experience in Business Development/ research or Proposal Contents Creation.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  4. Profound Knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  5. Strong leadership skills, as well as a team player.
  6. Strong communication skills, must be able to write and speak English fluently. Also Hausa is an added advantage.
