Are you part of a self-led feminist organization working to create lasting change? Do you need long-term, flexible funding to strengthen your movement? Mama Cash is excited to announce the opening of its 2025 Grantmaking Window, offering core financial support to ambitious feminist initiatives that defend and advance the rights of women, girls, and trans and intersex people.
The Resilience Fund provides the resources needed to strategize, plan, and implement work in ways that best suit the needs of organizations and movements. This year, we are inviting new applicants who are not current grantee-partners to apply starting March 3, 2025.
Eligibility and Regional Focus
In 2025, Mama Cash will only be accepting funding applications from the following regions:
- The Americas
- The Caribbean
- Europe
- Central Asia
- North Asia
Applications from other regions will not be considered this year. This approach ensures that our funding remains focused on the regions that were not prioritized in 2024. The application period will run from March 3 to March 31, 2025, 11:59 PM CET.
Existing Resilience Fund grantee-partners seeking renewal grants are not affected by this regional restriction. Other Mama Cash funds—including the Solidarity Fund, Spark Fund, Revolution Fund, and Radical Love Fund—will remain open to new applications from all regions where they apply.
Application and Selection Process
Mama Cash follows a participatory grantmaking model, where funding decisions are made by the communities we support. The selection process includes:
- Input from applicants: All applicants provide insights on key thematic issues that should be prioritized for funding.
- Screening process: Mama Cash staff review all applications to ensure they meet eligibility criteria.
- Community Committee (COM COM) Review: The COM COM assesses shortlisted applications, deliberates, and makes final decisions on new grantee-partners.
Applicants will be notified by August 30, 2025, if they have progressed to the final decision-making round. More details about the participatory grantmaking process for the Resilience Fund can be found here.
Important Notes
- The grantmaking window does not apply to current Resilience Fund grantee-partners whose grants are due for renewal in 2025.
