The Youth and Women Peacebuilding Foundation (YAWP Foundation) is a Nigerian-based non-profit organisation incorporated in May 2026, dedicated to building lasting peace and empowering vulnerable communities. We focus on youth, women, and other marginalised groups in fragile and conflict-affected areas. Ouroverall goal is to promote sustainable peace, reduce conflict and violence, and empower individuals and communities, especially youth, women, and vulnerable groups, to achieve economic self-reliance and social cohesion through inclusive development and livelihood opportunities.

Description
- The Admin and Account Officer maintains sound financial management systems and oversees daily office operations.
- The role ensures compliance with donor rules, organizational financial controls, and local tax laws, while managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and field-level human resources records.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Management & Accounting:
- Prepare daily financial transactions, vouchers, petty cash disbursements, and bank reconciliations in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Review advance requests, travel liquidations, and field expense receipts for accuracy and compliance with internal financial policies.
- Process monthly payroll, compute statutory deductions (tax/PAYE, pension, social security), and remit payments to relevant authorities on schedule.
- Assist in budget tracking, preparing financial reports for project managers and donors, and supporting internal/external audit exercises.
Procurement & Logistics:
- Execute transparent procurement processes according to NGO policy (sourcing quotes, preparing comparative bid analysis, issuing purchase orders).
- Coordinate travel arrangements, hotel bookings, vehicle dispatch, and logistics for field missions and staff movements.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, maintaining accurate vendor files and contracts.
Office Administration & HR Support:
- Oversee daily facility maintenance, utility payments, office safety protocols, and IT/communications upkeep.
- Maintain an accurate asset register, conducting periodic inventory physical counts and tagging all equipment.
- Manage office records, physical archive files, incoming/outgoing correspondence, and staff leave tracking.
- Support onboarding paperwork, timesheet collection, and basic administrative HR filing for field staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years in program and financial coordination, operations, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, budget vs actual, compliance, costed workplan, among others.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and relevant digital tools.
- Experience working with NGOs, communities, youth, women, or other relevant stakeholders is an advantage.
