Position Description

  • The Admin Intern’s overall responsibility is to assist the Admin Officer to ensure that the day-to-day running of the office administration is conducted in an efficient and cost-effective manner while keeping in mind legal considerations and donor requirements where necessary.
  • Ensure admin support (effective) to Nuru Nigeria Programming and Report to the Admin Officer. He(s) is to assist to follow up and ensure office utilities, internal control, visitors/workshops logistics are provided.
  • The Admin Intern position undertakes and completes all administration tasks and requirements, provides support to staff, and programs, and implements administration team projects.
  • The position will report to the Admin Officer but will support Nuru Nigeria Management team where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Administrative Intern will work closely with the administrative officer to support office running and also raise with the field team
  • Provide support to staff members in other departments as needed
  • Support with flight booking
  • Assist Admin Officer to ensure the correct use of office equipment, servicing, and repairs and ensure controls are maintained
  • Assist the Admin Officer in organizing supplies needed for events such as training, workshops, seminars, meetings, etc. (stationary, refreshments, lunch, etc.)
  • Keep records of stationary usage for monthly orders (photocopy paper, flipchart paper, stationary for workshops, and for the office).
  • Assist the Admin officer to ensure administrative policies and procedures are followed.
  • Liaise with the field team to ensure all requests are submitted for processing.
  • Support with IT needs to staff  
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned/instructed by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, National Diploma, NCE in the following fields; Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Management, Information Technology or any other related field.
  •  AT LEAST 1 year of experience working in an administrative field, experience working in development projects preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good understanding and fluency in Local Language is an added advantage.
  • Excellent computer application skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word & Excel programs) and Google apps.
