2nd TF-LKYSPP Southeast Asia Next-Gen Leaders Programme

About the Programme

In partnership with the Temasek Foundation, the 2nd TF-LKYSPP Southeast Asia Next-Gen Leaders Programme aims to bring together young leaders and changemakers from Southeast Asia and Singapore. This programme focuses on capacity buildingknowledge exchange, and networking, with an emphasis on strategic thinking to tackle global challenges.

The programme offers participants a unique platform to reflect on the future, anticipate emerging challenges, and find actionable solutions for societal impact.

Programme Milestones

  1. Online Futures Thinking Workshop (27–29 May 2025): A virtual workshop to develop skills in long-term thinking and foresight methodology.
  2. Regional Learning Journey to the Philippines (20–25 July 2025): An in-person experience that immerses participants in the regional context, fostering interaction with local leaders and the development of impactful ideas.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Address Global Challenges: Understand and tackle complex issues that no single individual, organization, or country can solve alone.
  • Acquire Futures Thinking Skills: Gain expertise in foresight methodology and apply it to shape the future of their countries and the region.
  • Engage with Thought Leaders: Interact with distinguished leaders from the public, private, and civil society sectors.
  • Create a Strategic Network: Build lasting relationships with peers from Southeast Asia, becoming part of a strong Alumni community.

Target Audience

This programme is ideal for:

  • Mid-level Managers in the public, private, or civil society sectors.
  • Emerging NGO and NPO Leaders eager to contribute innovative ideas to societal change.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age between 25 and 35 at the start of the programme.
  • A citizen and resident of one of the following Southeast Asian countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • A demonstrated ability for leadership and collaboration.
  • Commitment to attending all programme milestones.

Programme Focus: Reimagining the Future of  Education

For this second edition, the central theme will be Reimagining the Future of Education. In a rapidly changing world, the programme will explore how future leaders can address educational challenges and design innovative solutions for the next generation.

Programme Sponsorship

Fees and accommodation in the Philippines will be fully covered. Participants are responsible for booking their own return airfare.
