Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will supervise keeper teams, ensure excellent animal welfare standards, support veterinary care, and maintain high-quality husbandry practices across assigned sections.
  • Supervise daily feeding, cleaning, and enrichment routines.
  • Monitor animal health, behaviour, and report abnormalities promptly.
  • Lead and train junior keepers, ensuring adherence to safety and welfare standards.
  • Assist veterinarians during treatments, checks, and animal movements.
  • Maintain accurate records of feeding, health, breeding, and enrichment activities.
  • Ensure enclosures meet OOPL safety, hygiene, and welfare requirements.
  • Support visitors education and ensure compliance with park rules.
  • Guiding visitors on tour Must be brave and diligent

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc. in Wildlife Management, Zoology, Animal Science, or related field.
  • Experience in zookeeping or wildlife care (experience with diverse species is a strong advantage).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and observation skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and respond to emergencies.
  • Opportunity is based in Abeokuta (accommodation not provided).
