Job Title: WASH Officer

Position Summary
- The WASH Officer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities in target communities.
- The role ensures the provision of safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene promotion in line with project objectives and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement WASH activities including borehole rehabilitation, latrine construction, and hygiene promotion.
- Conduct community mobilization and hygiene awareness sessions.
- Supervise WASH infrastructure works and ensure quality control.
- Monitor the functionality of WASH facilities and ensure maintenance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Work closely with community leaders and local authorities to ensure sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in WASH programming in humanitarian contexts.
- Technical knowledge of WASH infrastructure and community mobilization.
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
