Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager Humanitarian Hub and direct supervision of the Humanitarian Hubs Operations Assistant (Logistics & Coordination) the successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and management of the humanitarian hub Warehouse in accordance with IOM’s regulations, rules, and procedures.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out assigned warehousing transactions in line to IOM internal guidelines and in close coordination with Warehouse Supervisor.
  2. Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor for receiving, storing, packing, kitting, labelling and dispatch of goods from/to the warehouse.
  3. Ensure that all movement of goods are timely recorded.
  4. Coordinate with Warehouse supervisor to organize efficient and safe storing of goods at the warehouse, according to available space and requirements.
  5. Ensures that all goods are properly stored and registered in the stock cards and bin cards.
  6. At the request of the Line Manager or COM, participate in staff development and training processes
  7. Act with integrity and professionalism and in accordance with IOM’s Code of Conduct, at all times.
  8. Perform any other duties as required by supervisors

Education:

• Secondary School Education (minimum requirement)
• Any additional Certificate in relevant field will be an advantage.

Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year working experience in warehousing
• Good knowledge and understanding of safety practices and use of warehouse equipment and general experience in warehousing.

Languages:
• Fluency in English and Hausa / Kanuri
