Job Summary
- We are seeking a hands-on Videographer / Content Curator (NYSC Corps Member) to join our creative team at Pistis Foundation.
- In this role, you will capture, curate, and maintain high-quality video assets that showcase the impact of our education, health, and shelter programs.
- You’ll work closely with program leads to plan shoots, edit compelling stories, and manage our digital archive—gaining valuable experience in a purpose-driven non-profit environment.
Key Responsibilities
Video Capture & Editing:
- Film interviews, events, outreach activities, and day-to-day moments across our programs.
- Edit footage—trim clips, add captions, assemble sequences—using Premiere Pro or similar tools.
Content Curation & Organization:
- Review raw footage and select the strongest clips for campaigns and social media.
- Tag, catalog, and maintain a cloud‑based library of video assets for easy retrieval.
Social Media & Digital Support:
- Prepare short clips, teasers, and behind-the‑scenes reels for Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
- Schedule and publish video content according to the editorial calendar.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work with communications and program teams to ensure each video aligns with campaign themes.
- Contribute creative ideas in brainstorming sessions.
Quality & Consistency:
- Ensure all footage meets technical standards (clear audio, steady framing, proper lighting).
- Apply consistent naming conventions and metadata for all files.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NYSC-eligible graduate; Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field preferred
- Strong interest in video storytelling and social impact
- Hands-on experience (academic or personal projects) with camera operation and basic editing
- Proficiency with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) and cloud storage platforms (Google Drive, Dropbox)
- Good communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and adaptability to field environments
- Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) are a plus
Measures of Success:
- Content Library: 100% of recorded footage tagged and archived within 48 hours.
- Video Output: Deliver at least 6 short-form videos (30-60 sec) and 2 longer features (2-3 min) per month.
- Engagement: Support a 10% month-over-month increase in video views and shares across social channels.
- Quality Standards: Achieve 90% positive feedback on technical and storytelling aspects from stakeholders.
- Data‑Driven Improvement: Implement at least 3 data-driven optimizations per quarter to refine content strategy and production quality.
