Ike Foundation for Autism is a Nigerian foundation dedicated to bringing attention to autism in Nigeria and helping Nigerians affected by autism. We are committed to raising awareness and improving lives through several means: an assessment program for people who may be living with autism, a resource centre for learning about what autism is, and outreach programs in schools.

- The Therapist will provide individualized and group therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The role includes implementing therapy goals, documenting progress, and collaborating with other team members and parents to ensure optimal developmental outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out initial child observation and draft observation.
- Deliver structured therapy sessions in line with IEP goals (e.g„ speech, behavior, cognitive, self-help, and motor skills).
- Monitor and document child progress using weekly and monthly reporting templates.
- Engage parents through regular updates, review meetings, and therapy follow-ups.
- Collaborate with other professionals (e.g. medical professionals, speech therapists, occupational therapists…) to ensure comprehensive intervention.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and center activities.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards of care at all times.
- Assist in developing and implementing training drills and therapy schedules.
- Support children during school integration (e.g., shadow services) when needed..
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
- At least 1 year experience working with special need children, Autism or any with neurodevelopmental disorders (experience in ABA or TEACCH is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic interventions.
