Job Description
- To operate and monitor plant equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth production, minimal downtime, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate assigned plant equipment (e.g., crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, mills, or utilities).
- Monitor process parameters and make basic adjustments to maintain efficiency.
- Report equipment faults, abnormalities, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Support start-up, shutdown, and routine checks of plant machinery.
- Carry out minor operational maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, and tightening.
- Record production data, shift logs, and operational parameters.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Assist maintenance and technical teams during breakdowns and plant shutdowns.
Qualifications & Experience
- OND / Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in plant or mining operations (fresh technical graduates/trainees may be considered).
- Familiarity with industrial or process plant equipment operation.
