Description:

The Support Staff will ensure the preparation of Edible, Healthy and Delicious meals. He/she will also provide support for basic administration management; such as maintenance of the guest house, procurement and purchases of food and other household items for the Guest house.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Set up kitchen with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Prepare meal plans and meals for breakfast, lunch and Dinner.
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the Guest house.
  • Report faulty equipment, Appliances, tools and furniture for repair and follow-up to ensure the necessary repairs are made.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Check quality of ingredients.
  • Take inventory, monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
  • Clean and disinfect sink, countertops, floors, refrigerators, microwaves, Toilets etc. in the Guest house regularly.
  • Empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas.
  • Assist the Logistics and Procurement Officer in the procurement process of household items for the guesthouse
  • Ensure timely purchase of supplies needed at the guesthouse.
  • Assist, monitor and report on potential safety or maintenance issues
  • Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to the Human Resources and Administration Officer immediately.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance tasks, use of products and supplies

Requirements:

  • At Least 1 year work experience as a Support staff
  • Advanced knowledge of cooking processes
  • Basic knowledge of administrative processes
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Hausa
  • Basic Computer literacy

Qualifications

  • OND in Any Relevant course
  • Essential computer literacy (Microsoft office and internet)
  • Result and Quality Oriented, Behavior flexibility, Service Oriented, Stress Management.
  • Ability to Prioritize and work with little to no supervision
  • Team Leader
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess Honesty and Integrity skills
