 Job Title: Senior Technical Advisor – Sustainability & Transition

Location: Akwa Ibom

Job description
What you will do in this role

  • Provide strategic and technical guidance on program sustainability and transition planning.
  • Lead the development of transition roadmaps for donor-funded interventions, including workforce absorption into government systems.
  • Support engagement with state governments on sustainability planning and resource mobilization.
  • Guide the documentation of sustainability models and lessons learned.
  • Deliver against the approved GHSD milestone plan and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across the HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platform and progressively transferring functions to Government of Nigeria ownership.
  • Represent the project in national and state sustainability and transition technical working groups.

Minimum recruitment standard
Qualifications and experience we look for

  • A first degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field; a master’s degree is required.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in health systems strengthening or program transition, with a minimum of five (5) years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of donor transition frameworks and government health financing.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
