Roadmap for Women and Youth Development (RAWYOD) is a youth-led independent development and humanitarian non-profit organization aimed to protect women, youth and children’s rights. It is an organization established to motivate, organize and unite the people with interest in community development agenda focusing on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Food Security and Livelihood, Protection, Environment, Education, Health and Peace Building. We work to establish a platform where everyone including women has voice to facilitate the improvement of basic livelihood for all while creating safe environment for peaceful coexisting through community activities such as peace building mechanisms for prevention of violence and conflict in Northeast Nigeria and beyond.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior MEAL Officer
Reports to: MEAL Manager
Location: Damaturu, Yobe State
Employment Type: Full-Time
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior MEAL Officer will:
- Develop and oversee implementation of the organization’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality program data.
- Train staff and project teams on MEAL principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and ensure compliance with MEAL standards.
- Collaborate with program teams to design and implement impact assessments, baseline studies, and evaluations.
- Ensure that accountability mechanisms are in place and feedback from beneficiaries is used for program improvement.
- Produce accurate and timely reports for donors, partners, and organizational leadership.
- Maintain a robust data management system for program tracking and reporting.
- Any other duties as may be arisen.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) roles within NGOs or related organizations.
- A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Project Management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, or Power BI).
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of project cycle management and logical frameworks.
- Experience in facilitating training sessions for teams.
Nice to Have:
- Advanced degree or certification in MEAL or related fields.
- Knowledge of donor requirements and compliance for MEAL.
- Experience in gender-sensitive programming and/or working with marginalized groups.
- Other language skills like native both written and verbal.
- Open mindedness and self-confident.

Terms and Conditions
Full-time position based in Yobe state Nigeria, with possible travels within the country. He/she will be reporting to RAWYOD MEAL Manager.
