Purpose of the Position

  • The Senior Coordinator, UI/UX is with deep experience in building digital customer interactions and the ability to think at the big picture and pixel level.

  • As the senior-most designer on the team, you will be responsible for creating new user experiences, visual concepts, mock-ups, and user flows to drive customer acquisition.
  • The ideal candidate will not only have excellent interaction and visual design skills but also be able to clearly and confidently articulate a choice of design direction to support business goals.

What You’ll do 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Own end-to-end user experience and UI design for all digital products.
  • Build efficient online customer acquisition paths
  • Work closely with sales and IT to understand the desired user journey and build a user experience and visual design strategy
  • Develop user experience design concepts, wireframes, mock-ups, and online flows
  • Work closely with Front End Developers to ensure UX / UI is implemented per design
  • Be part of the user acceptance test team to verify all new digital assets and user flows
  • Evolve design and user experience in keeping with the latest design paradigm
  • Design, communicate and implement user experience and associated UI frameworks and assets
  • Build UI specs and graphics
  • Create consistent visual designs that support brand identity and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Ensure visual design supports desired user experience
  • Manage multiple projects and ensure projects are prioritized and completed in a timely manner
  • Stay abreast of competitive changes and bring new ideas to the team
  • Be an expert on the latest UX/UI practices for mobile and web design
  • Create a seamless experience for customers across all platforms
  • Help with other marketing department functions as needed
  • Understand the limitations of our tech stack and nonprofit model and provide technical advice wherever necessary.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of visual design and digital user experience within an organization setting creating amazing experiences that delight users and increase engagement
  • 2+ years experience as a front-end developer (Converting your mockups )
  • Expert knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5 and its best practices.
  • Ability to think big picture and translate business goals into designs and user experiences
  • Deep knowledge of the latest tools, processes, and best practices for cross-platform user acquisition and engagement
  • Experience with responsive designs for mobile web
  • Extreme attention to detail and consistency
  • Proficient in UI design tools like Sketch and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proven experience in storyboarding, wireframing, and creating design specifications.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a problem-solving attitude are a must.
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across organizations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design or related field.
  • Creative self-starter, team player with the ability to multi-task and focus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work longer hours and meet tight deadlines as needs may require.
