Job Title: Senior Associate, Pharmaceutical Services

Job Description

  • The incumbent will establish a viable system to ensure delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care services at all supported sites. Plan and implement efficient health commodity logistics system in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
  • Design and coordinate the implementation of pharmacy best practices across all supported sites. Support in implementing SOPs for the warehouse in line with Good Pharmaceutical Storage Practices. Monitor the efficient ordering and Last Mile Distribution (LMD) of commodities from the National Central Procurement & Distribution system and provide feedbacks as necessary. Finally, responsible for tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Achieve at least 95% of pharmaceutically related KPIs (ADR report rate of at least 95% of all occurrence & At 95% of clients on preferred regime)
  • Effective commodities pipeline management (stock out rate of less than 5%, Less than 1% expiry rate, Accurate, timely and complete facility stock reporting rate of 100%, Less than 1% requisition error)
  • At least 95% of all assigned KPI and task through capacity building, technical support, mentoring and monitoring
  • Accurate, timely and complete facility stock reporting rate of 100%
  • Timely program review and reporting.
  • User satisfaction levels.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Incumbent must be a registered pharmacist.
  • Master’s Degree in Pharmacy Sciences is greatly preferred.
  • 4 years post NYSC years of experience with at least three years’ as a hospital-based pharmacist.
  • Must have a working knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance with ability to design and implement procedures.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have a broad-based knowledge of and experience with computerized systems in pharmaceutical warehousing and QA.
