Overview of CPPLI

Child Protection and Peer Learning Initiative (CPPLI) is a human-centered social development not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) that was established and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in June 2010 with the sole aim of ensuring that less privilege and vulnerable children (particularly girls) and women as well as populations affected by humanitarian emergencies have access and attain a quality life and education through building sustainable partnership with government agencies, UN-agencies, communities, individuals and other stakeholders in obtaining mechanisms and resources to achieve its aim and focus. The organization thematically focuses on Protection, Health, Nutrition, Education and Governance. Being a national and local organization, CPPLI is geographically operating in the Northeast Nigeria with tremendous technical expertise of working in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states due to its well understanding of the cultural dynamics and change in context of the communities in the BAY states. 

CPPLI stand against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).

CPPLI has a zero-tolerance policy with regard to SEA by her personnel. All forms of sexual exploitation and abuse are incompatible with the universally accepted norms, values, principles and standards that underpin CPPLI. Protection from SEA is the responsibility of everyone and all selected candidates will be required to comply with the CPPLI’s PSEA Policy at all times. Selected candidates will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks against their past behavior related to sexual exploitation and abuse, and may be required to provide additional information further on in the selection process

Objectives.

The primary objective of recruiting a Security and Admin Assistant is to ensure the smooth daily operation of the office while simultaneously maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for personnel, assets, and visitors. This dual-role position acts as a central hub, combining administrative efficiency with proactive safety management.

The objective of this recruitment is to engage qualified candidates with relevant experience and knowledge in provision of support to organizational, thereby reinforcing the human resource to provide better result and outcomes.

PURPOSE

A Security and Admin Assistant support organizational operations by combining clerical duties with security protocol management, including visitor screening, access control, surveillance monitoring, records management, and office logistics. They serve as a vital link between security, management, and visitors, ensuring both a secure and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • He/she manage front desk reception, answer phones, handle correspondence, schedule meetings, and maintain calendars for staff.
  • He/she maintain security logs, incident reports, and database records. They also handle confidential files, including personnel or legal documents.
  • He/she monitor office equipment for repairs, manage supplies, and coordinate courier services.
  • He/she monitor security cameras (CCTV), manage access badges, maintain visitor logs, and conduct security patrols if needed. They assist with implementing security procedures and responding to incidents.
  • He/she assist with safety training, inspect facilities for hazards, and help implement risk prevention programs.
  • He/she coordinate security briefings, assist with onboarding new staff regarding security protocols, and support staff travel arrangements.
  • He/She assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of staff and volunteers regarding child safeguarding policies.
  • He/She organize logistics for training sessions, meetings, and community awareness campaigns, including room bookings and materials preparation
  • He/she coordinate security briefings, assist with onboarding new staff regarding security protocols, and support staff travel arrangements.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of a University Degree, HND, OND or NCE in related field.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent ability in computer skills especially Microsoft applications.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent English language writing and speaking skills.
  • Fluency in Local Language is mandatory.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others colleagues
  • Ability to organize ideas in a logical and structured manner.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
