SuS Pads (Sustainable Menstrual Pads Initiative) is a Nigerian organisation dedicated to ending period poverty through sustainable solutions. We manufacture high-quality reusable menstrual pads, train women and girls in pad production, and deliver comprehensive menstrual health education across communities. Our work ensures that no girl or woman experiences her period without dignity.
Founded by Bolu Olorunfemi, SuS Pads combines local manufacturing with community empowerment to create lasting change. We partner with individuals, corporations, schools, and NGOs to implement menstrual health projects that break the cycle of period poverty. Through our consulting services, we help organisations design and execute impactful menstrual health and hygiene initiatives. Job Title: Seamstress / Tailor
Location: Abuja (FCT) / Nasarawa

Job Summary
- SuS Pads is seeking a skilled seamstress/tailor to produce high-quality reusable menstrual pads and hygiene products. Join our mission to restore dignity to Nigerian women and girls facing period poverty through your tailoring skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Sew reusable menstrual pads and hygiene products to quality standards
- Cut fabric accurately according to patterns
- Operate and maintain sewing machines properly
- Meet daily and weekly production targets
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Inspect finished products for quality
- Suggest improvements to designs and production processes
- Minimize material waste through efficient handling.
Education & Experience
- Completed tailoring/sewing training from a recognised centre
- Minimum 1-2 years experience (including apprenticeship)
- Fresh tailoring graduates welcome to apply
- Formal education NOT required – skill matters most
- Must communicate in simple English
- Experience with women’s clothing or underwear is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Proficient sewing and tailoring skills (hand and machine)
- Ability to follow patterns and instructions accurately
- Attention to detail and quality
- Basic English communication (speaking and understanding)
- Good time management
- Basic numeracy for measurements
- Creativity and willingness to learn new techniques.

Location Requirement
- Must reside in or near: Lokogoma, Galadima, Sunnyvale, Guzape, Apo, Dutse, Gaduwa, Guduwi or nearby Abuja areas.
Requirements:
- Available to start immediately or within short notice
- Work Monday to Friday (occasionally Saturdays)
- Provide two references
- Physically fit for extended sewing periods
- Comfortable working with menstrual health products.
