About the Ukamili Project:
The Ukamili Capacity Building Project is a three-month initiative to strengthen the institutional and operational capacity of Ukamili Digital City and its 10 innovation hubs in the DRC. It aims to establish robust governance, enhance programme delivery, and ensure sustainability, informed by a needs assessment. A key component is a 3-day in-person workshop in August 2025 to build capacities in startup incubation, business development, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization.
Objective:
Deliver engaging, context-relevant training to equip Ukamili hub leads and staff with practical tools for effective innovation support programmes.
Scope of Work:
Selected facilitators will:
- Co-develop session content and materials.
- Deliver training on Days 1 and 2 (skill-building focus).
- Facilitate interactive exercises (case studies, simulations, role play).
- Participate in Day 3 Ecosystem Forum and support discussions.
- Provide post-session feedback and recommendations.
Remuneration:
- Range: $600–$800, paid in full upon satisfactory completion, subject to applicable tax deductions.
Time Commitment:
- Preparation: August 11–16, 2025 (1 week).
- Workshop Delivery: August 20–22, 2025 (3 days, in-person in DRC).
- Follow-up & Reporting: August 25–30, 2025 (1 week).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience facilitating capacity-building in innovation/startup ecosystems.
- Proficiency in English and French.
- Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills.

Evaluation Criteria:
- Technical Proposal (65%): Completeness of documents, proof of qualifications/expertise, and relevant prior work.
