Professional Scriptwriting, Radio Production (Recording & Editing) and Jingle Production Consultant
Project Title: Protecting Children, Women, and Youth Affected by Conflict Through Local Actors in Borno State (PACT-LAB)
Activity Title: Community Radio Programme on Child Rights & GBV Awareness
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria
Contract Duration: March 2025 – May 2025
1. Background
The PACT-LAB project seeks to raise awareness and drive social change through a structured community radio programme focused on child protection and gender-based violence (GBV). The programme will serve as an advocacy tool, educating communities while fostering dialogue among children, caregivers, religious and traditional leaders and other stakeholders.
To ensure high-quality and effective delivery, we are seeking a highly skilled media consultant (individual or company) with expertise in radio content development, production and audience engagement.
2. Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Professional Scriptwriting:
- Developing engaging, culturally sensitive and contextually relevant scripts for discussions, drama segments and public service announcements (PSAs).
- Ensuring scripts align with the overall theme of child protection and GBV prevention.
- Radio Production (Recording & Editing):
- Producing 16 episodes (30-minute per episode) of the community radio programme.
- Overseeing the recording, editing and quality assurance of all programme episodes.
- Coordinating with the designated radio station(s) for seamless broadcasting.
- Jingle Production:
- Producing one (1) high-quality jingle containing child-friendly/anti-GBV messages.
3. Deliverables
The consultant is expected to deliver the following outputs:

The consultant will also ensure:
- Effective participation of guest speakers, including traditional and religious leaders, child rights advocates and community influencers.
- A structured feedback mechanism to measure audience engagement and improve content.
- Engagement of Young Ambassadors (children from schools and camps) as anchors.
4. Qualification Requirements
Eligible consultants must have:
- At least 2 years of experience in radio production, scriptwriting and media content development.
- Proven experience in social impact communication and advocacy through radio.
- Knowledge of child protection, GBV issues and cultural sensitivities in Northeast Nigeria.
- Strong technical capacity, including access to a professional recording and editing studio.
- Experience working with humanitarian organizations or donor-funded projects is an advantage.

- Scriptwriting (for the 16-episode playlet adapted for radio)

- Jingle production (1 unit)
- Portfolio of Previous Work (sample radio scripts, produced radio shows, jingles).
- Company Registration Documents (for firms only).
