We are currently recruiting a Psychosocial Support (PSS) Facilitator to work with conflict-affected children and youth in Maiduguri, Borno State.

This role involves leading structured group activities that promote emotional well-being, build resilience, and encourage social connection. Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitation of Psychosocial Support Sessions
• Design and deliver tailored PSS and recreational sessions for children and adolescents.
• Use creative and participatory methods such as storytelling, art, games, role-playing, and group discussions to promote healing and coping skills.
• Identify participants in need of further support and ensure proper referrals to specialized services.
2. Safe Space Management
• Maintain a secure, welcoming, and child-friendly environment.
• Ensure confidentiality, safety, and emotional well-being of all participants.
• Keep the PSS space organized and all materials in good condition.
3. Monitoring and Reporting
• Keep attendance and session records up to date.
• Share regular reports and contribute to feedback and improvement processes.
• Support the documentation of impact stories, assessments, and outcome data.
4. Community Engagement
• Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and community leaders to strengthen awareness of child protection and mental health.
• Encourage community ownership and involvement in PSS activities and referrals.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum of a diploma or degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related discipline.
• At least 1–2 years’ experience in psychosocial support, MHPSS, child protection, or community engagement.
• Prior work experience with children and youth affected by crisis or conflict is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and at least one local language (Hausa, Kanuri, or Shuwa).
• Basic documentation and reporting skills.
