Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality and impartiality. A worldwide movement MSF was founded in Paris, France in 1971. Bearing witness and speaking out MSF medical teams often witness violence and neglect in the course of their work, largely in regions that receive scant international attention. At times, MSF may speak out publicly in an effort to bring a forgotten crisis to public attention, to alert the public to abuses occurring beyond the headlines, to criticise the inadequacies of the aid system, or to challenge the diversion of humanitarian aid for political interests. Quality medical care MSF rejects the idea that poor people deserve third-rate medical care and strives to provide high-quality care to patients. In 1999, when MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the organisation announced the money would go towards raising awareness of and fighting against neglected diseases. Through the Access Campaign, and in partnership with the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative, this work has helped lower the price of HIV/AIDS treatment and stimulated research and development for medicines to treat malaria and neglected diseases like sleeping sickness and kala azar.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Defining, coordinating, and monitoring the supply chain activities in the project according to MSF protocols, standards, and procedures in order to ensure the optimal running of the project.
- Monitoring and ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the following supply activities in the coordination: order processing, local purchase management, physical (warehousing), and administrative (management of movements) stock management.
- In collaboration with the Deputy Coordinator Supply chain, planning, establishing, and reviewing the supply activities in the coordination including its budget, in order to identify and optimize the response to the needs of the mission and the targeted population.
- Ensuring the availability of relevant management data to the owners of the stock, project, and capital coordination (expired drugs, risk of shortages, stock reports, lead time, pipeline, etc.).
- Managing the team, and in collaboration with the Deputy Coordinator of Supply Chain, participating in the planning and implementation of HR-associated processes (training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, development, and communication) of the staff under his responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all supply activities.

MSF Section/Context-Specific Accountabilities
- Monitoring and ensuring a smooth-running supply administration and the respect of the implemented supply procedures, proposing adjustments where needed.
- Communicating with customers, keeping them up to date concerning their order status (BO confirmation), and prioritizing procurement needs. (Biweekly order overviews).
- Ensuring the weekly/Bi-weekly stock overviews are shared with the pharma teams.
- Ensuring that the purchasing officer and warehouse supervisor maintain the correct filing and archiving of the supply documentation in order to guarantee the availability and the coherence of supply data.
- Supervising and organizing the daily activities of the Supply Chain team, including the purchasing officer and warehouse supervisor, and ensuring they perform the tasks linked to their role.
- Performing any other tasks within the scope of his role, as directed by supervision and according to the needs of the mission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Essential degree and specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain
Languages
- English and Local Language.
