Learning through Skills Acquisition Initiative (LETSAI) is a youth-led, women-focused non-profit organization established in June 2015. LETSAI particularly targets women, youths and children, the most vulnerable members of the society; it addresses protection issues through sustainable livelihood, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), psychosocial support through women groups and counseling sessions, and women empowerment interventions. The organization works with the relevant stakeholders towards peace building, sensitize women on GBV, management of survivors of violence by building and developing the skills of women and young girls. Hygiene promotion as a component where best practices of hygiene are being enhanced through house to house sensitization. The organizational values include timeliness, good attitude, integrity, excellence and professionalism while mainstreaming gender in all her interventions.

Project Scope:
This project will directly target persons with disabilities, their family members and other community structures, the state and local government ministries, departments and agencies, Civil Society Organizations including Organization of People with Disabilities (OPDs), Women and girls, Community Health Workers and community members in Kogi state.
The project is equally a deliberate focus on strengthening the capacity of OPDS, CSOs, FBOs , government stakeholders and media platforms to understand and implement disability law in Kogi State using a structured multi-sectorial and Community Based Inclusive Development approach to reinforce awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities.
General Position Summary
Project Officer:
- Coordinate project activities, lead the project team and manage day-to-day processes of the project
- Implement project activities in accordance with project guidelines and in coordination with MEAL Officer, Finance Officer and Implementation Partner
- Implement project activities guided by the approved proposal and in accordance with approved grants
- Liaise primarily and directly with project team at LETSAI
- Lead advocacy team for support, acceptance and ownership of project
- Develop and review reports and related project documents
- Lead training and mentoring to partners and high-profile stakeholders in Kogi State
- Represent the organisation in meetings/forums organized by the project
- Report to the Programmes Coordinator who will be summarily responsible for delivering on the project
- Strong organizational and work prioritization skills and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work cooperatively.
- Proven facilitation skills and demonstrated experience in leading joint group efforts;

- Proficiency in the English, Ebira, Yoruba or Igala is a plus.
