Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide project management and support for the design, creation and revision of trainings and supportive supervision visits.
• Develop Monthly costed work-plan with project team to aid implementation of activities on the project.
• Facilitate a working environment of mutual trust, respect, and care among local project team.
• Encourage effective teamwork, with case managers and CCWs supporting each other.
• Conduct regular meetings to ensure issues are raised and addressed and to encourage reflection on project progress and learning for improvement.
• Oversee the implementation of planned activities to ensure targets are achieved:
• Ensure that project activities are carried out in a timely manner per USAID approved workplan, and that the project achieves results in line with its annual approved work plan, and that the project achieves results in line with its annual PEPFAR targets in each program area.
• Ensure the organization has a clear weekly work-plan and that necessary resources are available for them to implement their responsibilities.
• Conduct monitoring visits to project activities to assess progress against targets and to provide coaching and direction to activities in areas where improvements are needed.
• Act as the initial trouble-shooter when difficulties in implementation are identified; meet with necessary project participants, listen to challenges, and actively identify solutions such that projects can continue as needed.
• Submit timely, accurate and professional reports that meet donor requirements. Prepare reports to be submitted for donors, State, and local government offices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completed secondary education with five years of working experience or
  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of working experience.
  • MPH Degree holder’s would have added advantage.

MISSION AND MAIN ACTIVITIES

The Project Coordinator is responsible for PCDF’s operational response to the Project.
In close collaboration with the mission coordination team, define and plan the project objectives and priorities, identify the population’s health and humanitarian needs, analyse the context and the humanitarian issues at stake, the risks and constraints and calculate human and financial needs. Coordinate, in close collaboration with the Head of Mission, its implementation to efficiently ensure the goals as well as to improve the targeted population’s health conditions and humanitarian situation.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• You have a project Management qualification.
• You have a medical degree/paramedical qualification or master’s degree in public health.
• Experience
• You have experience in medical INGO in managing medical projects and supervising a multicultural team.
• You demonstrate deep negotiation capacity and can develop and maintain an efficient network.
• You like to develop strategic vision for new program and supporting a multidisciplinary team in encouraging teamwork.
