POSITION: Programme Officer, Advocacy
LOCATION: 77 Mbaise Road, Owerri, Imo State.
CSAAE is an international non-profit organization that envisions a better Africa where all can find support and encouragement to work hard, live in dignity and feel proud to belong.
The Centre pursues its vision through three programs:
- Socioeconomic Program.
- Advocacy Program.
- Ethics Program.
DUTIES:
- Educate young people on advocacy and how to strategically advocate for the common good.
- Design and implement interventions that advocate for rule of law.
- Educate and engage young people on conflict resolution and how to legally fight for justice.
- Design and implement interventions that advocate for human rights.
- Organize programs to educate young people on human rights and how to respect the rights of others.
- Design and implement interventions that advocate for anti-corruption.
- Educate and engage young people on the right ways to fight and speak up against corruption in their society.
- Educate young people on legal activism, and how to lead peaceful non-violent protests.
- Design and implement interventions that advocate for good governance in Nigeria
- Organize programs to teach young people how to be part of government processes e.g budget procedures, policy and bill drafting, legislative processes, elections, etc.
Eligibility
- Resident in Owerri/willing to relocate.
- Bachelor’s degree/HND in any field.
- Must have completed NYSC.
- Must be an advocate for the common good
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be outspoken.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must possess good leadership and organizational skills.
- Good research skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge and experience of government processes
