Job Vacancy: Programme Coordinator – Nutrition
Location: Maiduguri with frequent travel to Magumeri and Marte, Borno State

We are currently hiring a Programme Coordinator – Nutrition to lead and manage our nutrition programming in Magumeri and Marte, ensuring quality, timely, and impactful service delivery aligned with international standards and donor expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement high-quality nutrition programs in line with organizational and donor objectives.
- Lead the development of work plans, budgets, and activity implementation strategies for nutrition interventions.
- Supervise and mentor field nutrition teams and ensure adherence to technical protocols (IYCF, CMAM, etc.).
- Coordinate community-based nutrition assessments, surveys, and regular data collection for informed programming.
- Represent 5TEi in nutrition technical working groups and stakeholder coordination meetings at the LGA/state levels.
- Strengthen referral pathways and collaborate with other sectors (Health, WASH, Protection) for integrated service delivery.
- Ensure quality reporting, documentation, and accountability mechanisms are in place and functional.
- Build the capacity of staff and partners through training and continuous technical support.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to program sites to ensure the quality and effectiveness of activities.
- Develop case studies, success stories, and contribute to proposal writing and strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- At least 3–5 years of progressive experience managing nutrition programs, preferably in emergency or development contexts.
- Strong technical understanding of community nutrition programming, including CMAM, IYCF, and MIYCN.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience in coordination with government agencies, UN bodies, and partner NGOs.
- Solid knowledge of project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and donor reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in report writing.
- Fluency in English required; working knowledge of Hausa, Kanuri, or local languages is an asset.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email applications.
- Ability to work under pressure in insecure and remote settings with minimal supervision.
