Job Summary:
MGMF is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support our various programs and initiatives. The Program Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects, including administrative tasks, coordination, and communication. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work and to develop professional skills in program management and sustainability.
Roles and Duties o Hands on desk to maintain and organize program files, records, and documentation. o Handle routine correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and inquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops, and program activities in line with MGMF requirements and standards.
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of program activities. o Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met. o Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other program materials.
- Coordinate with program partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Communication:
- Prepare and distribute program-related communications and materials.
- Update and maintain program-related content on the website and social media.
- Assist in drafting newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials. o Foster positive relationships with community members, partners, and participants.
Data Management:
- Collect, enter, and analyze program data and metrics. o Maintain databases and ensure data integrity and confidentiality. o Assist in generating insights and reports from program data.
Selection Criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in public health, sustainability, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in program administration, coordination, or support is desirable. o Experience working with non-profit organizations is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time management skills. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. o Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
