Zenith Of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support is a leading girls and women’s rights organization that promotes gender equality, reaching the most vulnerable, and promoting meaningful inclusion. The organization is a registered non-profit, non-governmental female/youth-led organization that aims to prevent and protect women and girls against all forms of gender-based violence, abuse, and discrimination. Zenith of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support advocates and influence policies in favor of women and girls. ZEGCAWIS create awareness and sensitize communities on the Sexual and reproductive Health rights, prevention of sexual and all forms of gender-based violence information and response services. ZEGCAWIS has been in existence since 2016, it became officially registered with cooperate affairs commission in Nigeria 2018. Working together with Relevant stake holders, women, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, where women and girls as well children’s Right will be protected and supported, a world where everyone will have equal access to opportunities, economic empowerment and be treated with respect and dignity irrespective of their sex, gender, Race and religion differences.

PROGRAM AND ADVOCACY ASSISTANT
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Location: Maiduguri
Duration of assignment: 6 months (with a possibility of renewal based on performance).
Scope of Work
ZEGCAWIS is seeking an efficient, passionate Program and Advocacy Assistant to join our team and maximize our impact as an organization. The Program and Advocacy Assistant is to assist and coordinate all program, education, advocacy and related activities. The Program and Advocacy Assistant is to assist, support, coordinate, and monitor the program and advocacy deliverables.
Responsibilities
· Work close with Communication and Partnership Coordinator and Program Coordinator to execute advocacy strategy in relation to our programs, working in collaboration with Government and partners.
· Carry out policy analysis to identify opportunities to advance ZEGCAWIS advocacy and campaigning towards agreed priorities, as well as alert on potential risks.
· Develop impactful and timely policy documents (briefings, position papers, reports, and recommendations)
· Organize policy debates among some selected schools in relation to our campaigns to create opportunities for dialogue and influence policy-makers and maintain strategic relations with government officials and partner organizations.
· Develop /lead on documentation and dissemination of ZEGCAWIS policy and advocacy deliverables and results.
· Compile and submit timely project/program reports to program Coordinator.
· Work closely with the peer group Educators and ZEGCAWIS communication Coordinator and program team to coordinate and draft advocacy messages and materials that encourage people to get involved, take action, and help improve engagement.
· Contribute to creating content for the ZEGCAWIS Advocacy campaigns on Radio.
· Support the communication Coordinator in Drafting papers/articles for publications in social channels and long-form copy for website content, blog, and email communications
Education
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, public administration, program management and communications.
