General Objective

Job Summary

AHAI is seeking a Procurement Officer, we are looking for a Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, as well as negotiating contracts and managing relationships.

AHAI is a non-Governmental, Non-Profit, Making Organization. non-political and non-religious international aid organization. African Humanitarian Aid International (AHAI) has been operating in Nigeria since 2017, with operational offices in Adamawa and Borno, including sub-offices in the field ¹.

– Manage procurement activities, including tendering and contract management

– Ensure compliance with AHAI’s procurement policies and procedures

– Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage inventory

– Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate records, – Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and process improvements

– Source and evaluate suppliers, and negotiate contracts

– Manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

– Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities

– Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures

– Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and laws

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs

– Analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field

– 2+ years of experience in procurement or related field

– Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations

– Excellent negotiation and communication skills

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field

– 3-5 years of procurement experience

– Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices

– Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Desired Skills- MCIPS or equivalent certification

– Experience in NGO or humanitarian sector

– Fluency in English
