Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the corporate affairs commission, in accordance with the Nigerian Law, FRAD work in both humanitarian and development sector to build the resilience of Vulnerable populations through our interventions in thematic areas of WASH, Nutrition, Protection, Education and early recovery and livelihood. Over the years, FRAD has reached more than 19,000 children, men, women and girls through its various interventions.

FRAD work with the Mission to build the Resilience of vulnerable populations using locally available solutions that ensure participation and bring meaningful development, leaving no one behind. Our Mission and Vision guides our programming to ensure no one is left behind  

Position: Procurement /Logistic Assistant

Job Type: Contract

Qualification:  : B.Sc. or HND in Business related field.

Experience: 1 – 2 Years’ experience in Procurement and logistic

Location: Zamfara

Job Summary:

The Procurement Assistant will be based in Zamfara and will work under the direct supervision of the Procurement Manager to support Operations department of FRAD Foundation in Zamfara. The successful candidate will undertake Procurement duties working in close collaborations with other operations team members as well Programs.

Duties and Responsibility

•     Assist in the maintenance of thorough procurement files in line with FRAD policy.

•     Regularly produce purchase status and completed purchases reports using the Ongoing PR Master    List and PR Master List

•     Maintain file on market prices for commonly bought items.

•     Scan a soft copy of all documentation before it is handed over to program and finance for payment

•     Support Purchase Request (PR) review and numbering.

•     Assist the procurement officer during tender opening sessions

•     Follow up with suppliers, vendors and third parties to ensure delivery of goods/service

•     Follow up with suppliers for prompt submission of invoice after goods/service delivery

•     Perform any other reasonable duties that deem necessary as assigned by the supervisor

Requirement:

•     A demonstrated ability to multi task and process information into action in a timely manner

•     Ability to use the following Microsoft Productivity tools Excel and Word

•     Fluency in English Language

•     You must be committed to the ethics and code of conduct of the HR profession and familiar with the Core Humanitarian Standards.

•     You must understand data protection and the need for confidentiality. You must have strong written and oral communication skills; the ability to explain and visualize complex issues to expert and non-expert audiences; and excellent presentation skills.

  • You must be a good team player able to organize and prioritize workload.
  • You must have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural environment, including the ability to build relationships with colleagues at long distances. 
  • Must be an indigene of Zamfara state
