Grassroots Lifesaving Outreach (LESGO) is an impartial, neutral and independent Non-Governmental Organization whose mission exclusively established to promote life in underserved communities through empowering communities to know and protect lives including their environment towards ensuring safe habitation through participatory methodology. Established in Grassroots Lifesaving Outreach was established in 2010 but was incorporated in the year 2011 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). LESGO exists to partner with government and relevant agencies to promote and strengthen humanitarian law and a universal principle that seeks to honor the dignity of mankind with support and believe that Life is worth living and living well.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Peer-to-peer Training Facilitator – (Consultancy)

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Contract

Purpose

  • To facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building among Nigeria Local Coalition Accelerator (NLCA) staff members through interactive peer-to-peer learning.

Objectives:

  • Enhance understanding of Procurement, Human resource management, Financial control and management and Project management and Monitoring evaluation, learning and adaptation
  • Share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment.

Scope:

  • Topics to be covered: Procurement, Human Resource Management, Financial management, project management and monitoring evaluation learning and adaptation.
  • Duration: 10 sessions in five months (4 Hours per session0.
  • Participants: Coalition staff members.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Improved skills and knowledge in Procurement, Human resource management, Financial control and management and Project management and Monitoring evaluation, learning and adaptation
  • Actionable insights that can be applied to ongoing projects.

Methodology:

  • Interactive sessions, case studies, and group discussions.
  • Peer-led sessions where participants share their expertise.
  • Practical exercises to apply learning within coalitions

Responsibilities

  • Facilitator: will lead the session and ensure active participation.
  • Participants: Expected to engage, share experiences, and provide feedback.

Key Deliverables:

  • Presentations slides
  • Session plan
  • Activity report

Evaluation:

  • A short survey pre-test and post-test will be conducted at the beginning and end to assess the effectiveness of the session

Qualifications and Profile
The facilitator should have:

  • At least five (3) years’ experience in facilitating peer-to-peer sessions for coalition systems or Networks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally while navigating cultural and language barriers.
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize projects and tasks effectively.
  • Be a self-starter: independent, takes initiative to solve problems.
  • Be highly organized and detail oriented Be fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
