Caritas Switzerland operates in 20 countries in the fields of development cooperation and’ humanitarian aid, with food security and income generation as priorities, migration and climate change. The programmes are supported on the spot by national organisations and in Switzerland by programme departments.
Your tasks
- Support partner organizations in the’approval of periodic planning and’ execution of institutional strengthening activities, mobilization of internal economic migrants and diaspora
- Contribute to ensuring communication and exchange of information between project partners, as well as other stakeholders
- Contribute to the financial monitoring of the project in collaboration with the’Assistant-e admin & finances of the project and the team leader’
- Ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the results of’effect 1 (institutional strengthening, strengthening, mobilisation of internal economic migrants-MEI and Nigeriens from outside(NE)-diaspora) under the responsibility of Caritas Switzerland, in accordance with the required quality standards, under the supervision of the Chief of’Equipe
- Support and make proposals to the Chief of’ team of quarterly budgeted work plans of the project with clearly defined steps, including, in accordance with planned activities and resources in close collaboration with other partners
- Provide technical oversight of Effect 1 activities
- Ensure the preparation of periodic technical reports
- Identify in a participatory way the capacity building needs of implementing partners and other key collaborators in connection with the’offering of protection services (Human Rights, Labour Law, etc, Social Protection) of the MEI and the NEs and their mobilization
- Contribute to the organization and management of workshops deaaaa training, sharing meetings and’ peer-to-peer learning for capacity building of partner organizations
- Contribute to follow the progress of the project on’effect 1 in collaboration with the MEAL manager and the Chef d’Equipe
- Support the MEAL reporting in the collection of information and contribute to the availability of SE data on the’effect1
- Contribute to the capitalization of experiences and lessons learned from’effect 1
- Contribute to the drafting of capitalization priorities
Our requirements
- Graduate degree (Bac+4) in social sciences, international relations, economics, geography or other relevant fields
- 3 Years of’ minimum professional experiences in the field of development cooperation and project management
- Knowledge and expertise in governance-decentralization, migration and development
- Proven experience in the writing, review and analysis of narrative reports of’activities in development cooperation
- Experiences in capitalization processes
- Technical and sectoral knowledge and expertise in projects related to the fight against extreme poverty, money transfer income creation and/or migration (an asset)
- Technical knowledge and expertise in humanitarian projects (an asset)
- Experiences in the’ accompaniment of’ONG, d’organisations of civil society and/or groups of’ economic interests
- Experience in the management and monitoring of development programmes with technical and financial partners
- Very good skills of’organization of work and prioritization of tasks
- Good capacities of’adaptation, of’ listening, of negotiation, of work in team and independently
- Excellent knowledge of French (written and spoken), good knowledge of local languages is an asset
- Great flexibility and availability to make regular field visits and good knowledge of the regions of Dosso, Niamey, Tahoua, Tillabari (an asset)
