Job Title: Nursing Officer

Location: Anambra

Role Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Nurse to join our medical center. You will be responsible for the well- being and care of Patients.
  • Your primary responsibilities include delivering care to patients, providing health education to patients, and working with an interdisciplinary team to create a rehabilitation planfor patients.
  • To be successful as a Nursing Officer, you should be a highly skilled specialist who is passionate about healthcare.
  • Top candidates will also be good communicators and educators.

Duties

  • Participate in direct holistic patient care and deliver individualized nursing care.
  • Assist and set nursing care priorities for individuals and groups of clients.
  • Follow prescribed standards in providing nursing care such as injections, wound dressing, medications, etc as reflected in the standard operating procedure.
  • Identify and document changes in the health status of the patient
  • Supervise ward assistants and hospital mates.
  • Collect data on psychological, emotional, sociological, cultural, and spiritual needs from available resources for research purposes.
  • Establish a nursing diagnosis based on the client’s needs.
  • Identify and establish priorities for nursing care.
  • Develop and carry out individualized care plans based on nursing diagnosis in conjunction with other Nursing staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate Nursing care.
  • Identify alternate methods of meeting clients’ needs, modifying places of care if necessary, and documenting changes.
  • Discharge planning for all patients if needs arise.
  • Participate in a research project as it affects Nursing practice and other healthcare professions.
  • Ensures availability, proper use, and management of equipment and instruments.
  • Supervise and ensure proper record keeping.
  • Ensure continuous membership in Professional associations.
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Take up other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a registered nurse
  • General Nursing Certificate
  • Bachelors of Nursing Sciences
  • Registered Nurse
