We are recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Location: Abuja

Background

  • We seek a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in Abuja. The Solidarity Center is an international worker rights organization helping workers attain safe and healthy workplaces, dignity on the job, and greater equity at work and in their community. Position is contingent upon funding

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Implementing M&E activities of international development projects.
  • Design, implement, and operate project M&E systems from project Initiation to closeout stages, including experience building and maintaining working relations with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate approaches for capacity building projects, and develop, implement, and refine data collection tools.
  • Provide support to the strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, and developing M&E and/or performance monitoring plans, as well as post-project sustainability plans.
  • Facilitate and serve as project liaison for externally managed evaluation or research initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in a senior M&E position.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining systems for managing project operations.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, writing and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Willingness to travel to Nigerian states covered by the project.
  • Experience with USG or other donor-funded programs including program monitoring and evaluation.
