Background
Center for Child Care and Human Development (C3HD) is a Child Centered and Women Focused (CCWF) non-governmental, non-tribal, non-religious and non-profitable organization established and registered with state in 2017 and later registered as a non-profit organization with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
C3HD was established to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable communities and especially women and children, people with disabilities and those affected by conflict and insurgency through maximizing contributions to Health care and wellbeing, Education, WASH, Gender, social and disability inclusions, Protection, Peace Building, and Economic recovery and Livelihood.
C3HD is striving for an all-inclusive community and human development for all, including populations who are marginalized, underserved or affected by conflict or insurgency, catering to their health and wellbeing. We have a mission of transforming the lives women and children on the edges of society and help them regain and pursue their dreams for sustainable development.
C3HD acts as an agent for change. For 5 years and in 4 states (Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Kano States), we help women and children to overcome the massive problem they face through reducing inequality in accessing health services and education, responding to violence and exclusion, promoting food security, empowerment, peace and resilience building of communities to be able to withstand and respond to future hardships. We employ “the protective communities’ approach” to our programming’s by mainstreaming safeguarding and protection in our activities.
Key Job Deliverables:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MEL framework to track project progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Design and conduct evaluations, surveys, and assessments to measure project effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors and partners.
- Lead capacity-building initiatives to strengthen MEL systems and practices among staff and partners.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MEL framework to track project progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Develop the capabilities of program teams in the areas of collection and analysis of data (method, formats, software, etc.), indicator measurement, feedback and complaint mechanisms, impact analysis, etc.
- Design and conduct evaluations, surveys, and assessments to measure project effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors and partners.
- Lead capacity-building initiatives to strengthen MEL systems and practices among staff and partners.
- Collaborate with program teams to integrate MEL processes into project planning and implementation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in MEL and contribute to organizational learning.
- Provide technical and methodological support to programs for the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities, data management (development of questionnaires for surveys, sampling, input method, extraction of useful data and interpretation) and integration of cross-functional issues.
- Collects and coordinate data collection required for timely submission of M&E reports of programme and projects for C3HD’s for monthly, quarterly and annual report to Donors.
- Designs and implements complaint, feedbacks and response mechanisms (CFRM).
- S/he ensures that complaints are recorded in an official database, processed and that people receive an appropriate, timely response/feedback (CFRM).
- Support teams through the creation or adaptation of tools to: monitor indicators on the project and the impact of activities (through both a monitoring and evaluation plan, and the ensuing surveys/tools) or analyse risk factors.
- Collect data and report to 5Ws in Education, Health, Protection, DWG, and WASH Sectors and other sectors as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international development, social sciences, statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, preferably in the [relevant sector/industry].
- Proven ability to design and implement MEL frameworks, tools, and systems.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology for data management and analysis.
- Fluency in English and Hausa.
