Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of Nigeria (AIDDN) is a non-governmental organization that advocates for the rights and welfare of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Nigeria. AIDDN’smembership comprises Persons with IDD, Parents/Carers of Children and Adults with IDD, Professionals, interested CSOs, and private Individuals with genuine interest and commitment to making life better for all Personswith IDD.

AIDDN is registered with the C.A.C. and is a member of the Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD). AIDDN is a cluster of Persons with IDD and was established to be the “Voice” for Persons with IDD, who cannot defend themselves or advocate for their rights and needs. IDD is a group of conditions that affect the cognitive, physical, and social development of individuals, such as Down-Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Microcephalus, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and such as related to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Consultant
Location: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description 

  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Consultant to conduct Baseline/Needs assessment, resource mapping and context analysis of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities support status in Lagos State and the FCT (Identification of Persons with IDD and other disabilities).

Job Qualifications / Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the field of Public Health, Measurements, and Evaluation is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of development work experience, with at least 5years in an M&E advisory role. Implementation experience across direct international donor-funded projects including CBMGis an added advantage.
  • Experienced leading the designing and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation systems for public health programs/projects or logistic services in Nigeria.
  • Experience with Health Informatics including data analysis and visualization.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded requirements for managing information systems, data management, data security, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with government structures at central or sub-national levels.
  • Advanced knowledge of evaluation methodologies, sampling techniques, data collection, and analysis techniques.
  • Ability to facilitate training/workshops and present technical and strategic Information data clearly and concisely to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge/experience.
  • Excellent communication, and technical writing skills.

Deliverables:

  • A needs assessment,resource mapping, and context analysis report.
