Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer At Women in Business Forum (WiBFo)

The Women in Business Forum (WiBFo) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting businesswomen in Nigeria. As a member-based networking business alliance, WiBFo works with diverse stakeholders to create an enabling business environment for women-led enterprises and cooperatives, particularly in the agriculture sector.

WiBFo serves as a State Apex Organization, providing financial services to underserved and unserved populations. Additionally, it acts as an aggregator, facilitating market linkages for small-scale food entrepreneurs and smallholder farmers (SHFs). Through its initiatives, WiBFo empowers women entrepreneurs, strengthens cooperative structures, and promotes inclusive growth in agri-food systems.

Project Overview

The RISE Project seeks to empower women and youth by creating 8,000 decent and sustainable jobs in Nigeria’s agri-food sector. The project promotes resilience, inclusivity, and economic empowerment through cooperative development, capacity building, and market-driven approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive M&E framework, including theory of change, logical framework, and impact measurement tools.
  • Apply MEDA values in all activities-culturally sensitivity, transparency and integrity in all relationship.
  • Design and oversee baseline studies, mid-term evaluations, and final project assessments.
  • Establish robust data collection protocols and train field staff in M&E methodologies.
  • Monitor progress toward the 8,000 job creation target, disaggregating data by gender, age, and location.
  • Conduct regular field visits to verify project activities and validate reported outcomes.
  • Analyze project data trends and provide actionable recommendations for adaptive management.
  • Prepare detailed M&E reports, case studies, and success stories for donors, management, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate participatory evaluation sessions with beneficiaries and community members.
  • Ensure compliance with donor M&E requirements (GAC, MEDA) and international development standards.
  • Support evidence-based decision-making and adaptive project management through continuous learning and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science; Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • NYSC Discharge Certificate.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing M&E systems in development, humanitarian, or health projects.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, extract insights, and present clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in M&E software, data management systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage M&E activities and potentially supervise staff.
