As part of our commitment to improving health and nutrition outcomes, we are recruiting a motivated and experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager to support our field operations in Maiduguri, Magumeri, and Mare.  

Job Vacancy: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager  
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State  
Organization: Five Teams Empowerment Initiative (5TEi)

Employment Type: Contract, 6 months extendable  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Support in travel route planning, field assessments, and ensure the safety of traveling teams, especially in high-risk areas.  
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of monitoring and evaluation systems across all projects.  
  • Develop project-specific M&E plans, tools, and frameworks to track outputs, outcomes, and impact.  
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to ensure data-driven decision making.  
  • Conduct baseline, midline, and endline assessments in collaboration with program teams.  
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of M&E data for donor and internal purposes.  
  • Train and support project staff and partners on M&E systems and practices.  
  • Conduct data quality assessments and contribute to organizational learning processes.  
  • Collaborate with program managers and technical leads to integrate M&E into program planning and implementation.  
  • Participate in proposal development by providing M&E inputs and frameworks.  
  • Contribute to the documentation of best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.  

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Public Health, Health Information Management, Development Studies, or related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in M&E roles within NGOs or development organizations.  
  • Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, data collection tools, and statistical analysis.  
  • Proficiency in M&E software such as Kobo Toolbox, CommCare, ODK, SPSS, or Power BI.  
  • Demonstrated experience in leading evaluations and assessments in humanitarian settings.  
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and report writing skills.  
  • Experience working in Northeast Nigeria or a similar context is highly desirable.
