Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care. The French section is present in around thirty countries.
As part of supporting field teams/implementing a project, we are looking for a:
Medical or paramedical staff in charge of sexual violence (midwife, nurse, doctor profile)
Assignment :
- Central African Republic
- North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo
- Port au Prince, Haiti
- Mouhoun Loop, Burkina Faso
Goals :
Define, execute and monitor activities related to care for survivors of sexual violence as well as activities related to women’s health in projects supported by MSF France, in accordance with MSF policies, analyze statistics and reports, and ensure the proper application of protocols and the management of the staff involved, in order to provide high quality care to the population. Manages the staff involved in activities related to care for survivors of sexual violence and women’s health.
Main responsibilities:
Plan, organize and ensure the execution and supervision of care for survivors of sexual violence, safe abortion care, sexually transmitted infections, contraceptive care…
Lead, develop, support the strategies, protocols and response activities of the sexual violence care project according to different medical needs and contexts (including the development of a strategy, a logical framework and a budget) and develop tools (e.g. training materials, models of care, health promotion messages and methods as part of the care response to survivors of sexual violence).
Profile sought:
Training/Experience:
- Qualification as a recognized nurse, midwife or doctor is essential.
- Training in public health strongly desired
- 2 years of post-graduation experience as a caregiver essential.
- Experience working with survivors/victims of sexual violence essential.
- International or NGO experience would be a plus.

Languages: French B2 minimum required

Status: Fixed-term contract of 6 to 12 months, full-time, in the MSF field.
Conditions: Field contract, level 10 salary according to the MSF field salary scale based on seniority and experience.
