Vision for Inclusive Solutions and Transparency Initiative (VISTA Initiative) is a youth-led humanitarian and development organization dedicated to promoting inclusion, accountability, education, protection, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development. Through innovative and community-driven approaches, VISTA Initiative works with vulnerable populations to create opportunities, strengthen resilience, and improve livelihoods.
As part of our commitment to building the capacity of young professionals, VISTA Initiative invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for internship opportunities in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Role Summary:
The Media and Communication Intern will support communication, visibility, branding, and digital engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing social media platforms and digital content.
- Support content creation, storytelling, and success story documentation.
- Assist in photography and videography during organizational activities.
- Support graphic design and visibility materials.
- Promote organizational activities through various communication channels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Digital Communication, or a related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Canva or similar design tools is an advantage.
- Photography, videography, and social media management skills are added advantages.
- Previous internship, volunteer, or work experience is an added advantage.
General Requirements
- Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
- Applicants must currently reside in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) or Jere Local Government Area, Borno State.
- Strong interest in humanitarian and development work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to VISTA Initiative values and mission.
