Duration: 3 months (renewable)
Role Purpose
The M&E Intern supports monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities by assisting with data collection, entry, analysis, and documentation. The role contributes to evidence-based programming, promotes accountability to beneficiaries, and helps strengthen CAYEI’s monitoring systems.
Key Areas of Accountability
Data Collection & Monitoring
- Assist in conducting field data collection using digital tools such as KoboCollect or ODK.
- Support routine monitoring visits, surveys, and assessments.
- Collect and document feedback from beneficiaries and community members.
Data Entry & Analysis
- Enter, clean, and organise data in Excel or other databases.
- Support the preparation of tables, charts, and summaries of monitoring data.
Accountability & Reporting
- Assist in managing feedback and complaints mechanisms.
- Document lessons learned, field observations, and success stories.
- Support preparation of weekly and monthly monitoring reports.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical standards when handling data.
- Assist in verifying the accuracy and completeness of monitoring data.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of experience in data collection or monitoring tasks.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and data collection tools is an advantage.
