You will be under the supervision of the head of mission and in Hierarchical link with the admin and program coordinator.

Your main responsibilities are the following (evolving and non exhaustive list) :

  • Provide planning support and advice to those making a procurement request, then process and manage the procurement process in accordance with SIF policies and procedures, in a transparent, accountable, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Manage stock movements and distributions of goods in the framework of project implementation;
  • Capture pipeline information, and coordinate the management of the supply chain ensuring that Program staffs are well-informed and well-prepared for incoming goods and materiel.
  • Elaborate and update suppliers data base as well as prices list
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers
  • Enforce proper use of procurement ceilings and approval procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and effective use of all SIF assets and properties in all SIF offices.
  • Assess the need for additional equipment / premise for SIF Base and New Projects
  • Advise and support Program staff to verify that distribution has occurred according to the intentions and plans of the donors, and project partners
  • Manage all staff within department with integrity and foresight, and in accordance with HR procedures and policies to ensure that they maintain the highest standards of accountability and professionalism.

Requirements

Profile

  • University degree in a relevant field with 3 years of experience in a similar role for an INGO with progressive responsibility, professional certification in mechanics preferred
  • Management experience including capacity building
  • A proactive person with initiative and drive, honesty with a high level of integrity; a team-player with good planning, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under adverse conditions which may change quickly requiring flexibility
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Conditions

  • 6 months, full time, renewable
  • Contract start date: ASAP
  • Remuneration according to profile
  • Per diem, guesthouse
  • Health insurance – 60% covered by SIF
  • Repatriation/liability insurance – 100% covered by SIF
  • Break allowance during the 3 and 9 month breaks
  • Airfare to and from the mission location to home – paid by SIF at 6 and 12 months
