About the job
- Our organization is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Loan Officer to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loan analysis and management, with a passion for supporting small and medium businesses.
- In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding and mentoring SME businesswomen through the loan application process, as well as analyzing loan applications.
Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor women entrepreneurs through the loan application process, providing expert advice and support.
- Analyze loan applications, assessing financial viability, creditworthiness, and risk factors.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, and credit histories.
- Evaluate collateral and other assets to determine loan eligibility and terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with lending policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing support to loan recipients, monitoring loan performance and offering assistance as needed.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in loan analysis and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in loan analysis and management, preferably in a financial institution or microfinance setting.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including credit analysis, risk assessment, and lending regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting women entrepreneurs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (proficiency in other languages is a plus).
