Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative (FOURCi) is a non-profit organization group of Academics, Environmentalists, Agricultural Experts, Health experts, Building Experts and community volunteers coming together with their different expertise with one voice and concern towards safeguarding the future of our climate. Currently, the organization has focused its attention on the North East of Nigeria with special emphasis on Borno, Adamawa and Yobe State. (BAY) state.
FOURCi is currently intervening through the promotion climate resilience agriculture and livelihood using community based approach.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Livelihood Project Officer
Location: Gombi, Hong (Adamawa State)

Job Description
• Develop and manage budget for each project working with the program manager.
• Promote a participatory approach in programming work and create space in the structure for staff participation and involvement
• Manage and facilitate the flow of essential information among project team members.
• Functions at the community level (Gombi, and Hong)), support the harmonization of project strategies in the region and alignment with global policies and commitments, support exchange of expertise and practices in the region, and provide a regional-level analysis of trends
• Prepare project documentation including activity, and monthly and quarterly project reports on implementation, and contribute to the final narrative reports as per donor requirements.
• Provide continuous monitoring and support to field staff, coordinate project reviews, evaluations, and follow-up implementation of evaluation findings in close collaboration with the Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation officer.
• Provide leadership and oversight to program staff and all partners charged with implementing the program.
• Manage an operational team to supervise project activities implementation in the target area in compliance with local laws and organizational policies and procedures, including the management and evaluation of a diverse staff.
• Ensures the implementation of project on time and within budget.
• Assume any other responsibility as assigned by the Project Manager.

Essential Requirement
Level of Education – University Degree/HND in Agriculture or a closely related field with at least 2 years’ experience
• Must have substantial experience in implementing community-level development projects, using participatory engagement and grassroots mobilization techniques.
• Experience working on Agronomy/Forestry value chain actors and their service providers.
• Sound experience working on Agronomy/Forestry and related projects.
• Excellent training and facilitation skills with a wide variety of groups having diverse experiences, backgrounds, skills, and education levels.
• Experience in handling grants to local groups, ensuring appropriate basic documentation and accountability at the community/field level.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
• Language Requirements: Spoken English-Excellent; Written English-Good (ability to type and prepare reports and other documents as needed.)
• Must be able to speak at least one local language predominant in that state.
Analytical skills
• Works on complex issues. Problems and issues, risks, and benefits may have implications across several project components.
• Required to develop new ways of doing things to better meet program goals requiring creative or analytical ability.
