IT Assistant At International Society of Media in Public Health (ISMPH)


Location: Abuja
Reports to: Director of Programs & the Project Lead

Background:

The International Society of Media in Public Health (ISMPH) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization established to mainstream the media as a potent tool to accelerate healthcare information and delivery in Nigeria.

ISMPH is currently seeking a qualified and passionate State Program Officer (SPO) to join our team in Kaduna. The SPO will play a key role in advancing public health media advocacy efforts, with a strong focus on Primary Health Care (PHC) and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Nutrition (RMNCH+N) services.

Job Purpose

The IT Assistant is responsible for supporting ISMPH’s internal and external communications through creative design, digital media management, and basic IT assistance. This role combines technical, creative, and organizational skills to ensure effective communication and branding across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Graphic Design and Communication Materials

  • Develop and design graphics, information, education, and communication (IEC) materials, and organizational stationery.

2. Digital and Social Media Management

  • Manage the organization’s social media platforms and support marketing activities.
  • Maintain and update the organization’s website and digital platforms.

3. Content Development and Distribution

  • Prepare and distribute newsletters, email communications, and other written content.

4. Administrative and Communication Support

  • Provide administrative support in communication-related tasks.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of online meetings

5. IT Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide basic IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in IT support, digital media, or communication roles.
  • Basic knowledge of IT support, including hardware, software, and internet troubleshooting.
  • Experience in graphic design and content development using design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
  • Ability to manage websites and social media platforms.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support virtual meetings and work collaboratively with staff.
