Malaria Consortium Nigeria is committed to tackling the large number of malaria cases and deaths in the country. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners, we lead and support three major malaria control initiatives in the country:

Experience: 2 years experience.

Location of Assignment: Ebonyi and Osun state, Nigeria .

Duration: April- May 2021.

Malaria Consortium requires qualified Enumerators and supervisors who will provide TA support in collecting baseline contextual information from potential project sites through a household and malariometric survey in Ebonyi and Osun states.

Specific tasks for Enumerators

  • Participate in the training  activity on the use of the survey tool and data collection process
  • Participate in the pre-test and finalization process for the data collection tools
  • Capture data using data collection tools provided within the assigned areas.
  • Document all the findings in the provided data collection tools.
  • Compile and sort the filled data collection tools as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure collected data is accurately recorded.
  • Ensure anonymity of respondents and develop relationship of trust and safe space during data collection exercise with respondents.
  • Identify and report any challenges faced that could affect the quality of the data.
  • Take responsibility for project equipment
  • Report daily issues and challenges to the supervisor
  • Present the data to the supervisor at the end of each day.
  • Report to the supervisor before and after day’s work for further direction.
  • Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected

  • Attendance list at training
  • Completed data collection tools and
  •  Daily report submitted to supervisor

Qualification and Person specification State Enumerators/Data collectors (42)

Essential

  • BSc or OND/HND in a relevant academic field
  • At least 2 years experience in collecting data for household surveys
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy to be able to work on smart phone-based data collection applications.
  • Good interpersonal and social skills.

Desired

  • Resident in either Ebonyi or Osun states
  • Good communication skills and experience in participatory methodology.
  • Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to accomplish each day’s work with the supervisor by the end of each day
