About Center for Advocacy, Transparency, and Accountability Initiative (CATAI)
Center for Advocacy, Transparency, and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) was established in the year 2018 and registered as an NGO with Head Office in Maiduguri – Borno State. We have been visible in Borno Adamawa and Yobe states implementing projects in Education, protection, community empowerment, livelihood, environment, health, peacebuilding, and governance. We are currently implementing ‘Education, budget monitoring, and advocacy EBMAG project in Adamawa state, through the Malala fund. prevention, and response services for child survivors of Gender-Based Violence, including conflict-related sexual violence and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse in North-east Nigeria. Our approach is aligned with our mission to enhance service delivery and empower citizens to envision a world where people in the most remote areas of the globe can have access to the basic needs of life. Reporting to: Hygiene Promotion Officer

Job Summary:
To identify gaps in terms of hygiene, sanitation, and water consumption, the hygiene assistants will;
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of training modules for the promotion of hygiene practices at homes in camps and communities, as well as in-home visits and community visits (schools, health institutions, etc.)
- Assist communities and health facilities in implementing safe hygiene practices by planning emergency hygiene promotion awareness-raising programs and encouraging the installation of latrines, hand washing stations, and clean environments
- To identify gaps in terms of hygiene, sanitation, and water consumption, the hygiene assistants will;

Qualification:
- Minimum of National Diploma in Public Health or Health related field
- Motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, adaptable, and, culturally sensitive
- Willing and able to be based and travel often within remote areas, where services are limited
- Proficiency in English, Hausa and Kanuri is an added advantage.
- Dedication to the mission, values, and policies of CATAI Vision
- Thorough understanding of the intervention region or areas and the local economy
- Prior experience working with CATAI.
